NamePros is down again for this month with problems from the datacenter. Many place have been getting DDOS attacks and I suspect this might be the reason. For now, no reason has been given at this time, But when I am updated or Find out info I will post it.

You know ho when you buy a car you have to have insurance its the law. When you are driving you have to have license its the law. But what laws are there for domaining? I am not talking about cybersquatting or something small. I am talking about laws t prevent you getting over run.

What about a law to prevent you from buying a x,xxx domain for sale that has stats but when you park it or develop it you do not see the results. You have no one to protect you from this. This can really be an issue when buying an expensive domain.

Do the Research on every domain.
If you are buying a developed name, make sure its been developed the right way, not ban from google, wasn’t thrown together in an hour and put up for sale. if you want to start out fresh then you have nothing to worry about.

If its to good to be true?
Then it probably is, remember that all good things come in time and do not happen over night. You have to work for what you get just like anywhere else. Choose your options carefully to get the most out of what you want.

You have the ICANN to do some of the work to protect you, and some state laws cover you, But what if you need some help with the law? Get a Lawyer that specializes in the domaining/online industry.

Yes this is the old DNWords.com and Yes this is a nice plain and very oldish looking template, but my site has changed the way I look at domaining, I do not need web 2.0 style to have a great blog.

The Style of my blog was to make it easy to navigate not all flashy and techie looking, but simple for the user(you) to find what you wanted from this blog.

The content is the most important thing about a blog and the content is what I will be bringing you. If You have visited over the past few days. You have seen a few different templates and I found this one. yes I did edit the header and I hope that was not against the copyright notice, but I am in no way claiming the entire blog theme to myself and I want you to know that there are some fabulous themes at the link in the footer.

DnWords.com has served me well, but I am wanting to expand what I write about and I think that DnWords.com is limiting what I write about. This is my home away from Namepros chat and I really do like to write about other things then just domains names, like NamePros, Auctions that going on, and Expanding my criteria to write on, also getting more people to come to the new site.

DnWords, is a good domain and in a few weeks will go up forsale. Te domain has over 900 backlinks and building more each day.

I have been thinking about tis change for a few months not and when I saw this domain I wanted it to be my new blog name. Its unique and kinda funny but yet You will reconize it when you see it.

Generic domains are domains that domains that are unique. These domains can not be trademarked or copyrighted. These domains are word likes CardGames.com, Downloading.com. The Domains that are labled “Generic are phrases, Title of your job like RealEstate Agent. But these places could also be dictionary or places.  These domains are sometime labeled as “Preium domain names. Domains like tis are not usually able to be trademarked cause they are so common in the world.  Generic domains can be used in an array of extentions but most commonly used for .com. The most popular extention in the world. Generic domains is also a marketing advantage because these domains are common, user remember them more easily.

You can Still find some Generic Domains available from drop list or hand regs if you search but I do not thing to many are still available. THey are populur and Great Branding when running a website that deals with the certain subject like I think Say Google Bought Search.com or mcDonalds bought Hamburger.com.

While the forums look good activity is high, you wont be selling your 20k domains there. NamePros has allot of new people to the domaining industry and it a great place to stat out and learn, With members, and staff willing to help you can always count on some help. THey also have a Live Auction every 2 weeks which sells allot. You can buy domains with NP$ (the forums money)

DigitalPoint

Not one of my favorite places to go but they do have allot of website forsale and is a great place to search if you need a site. Watchout because you will be banned quick or scammed quicker.  Yes, let it be know you will get scammed and then banned at DP. You might can sell something but you might get charged back after its done.

DnForum

A place I hardly go to. The Site is a well known forum for domaining, but Like Domaining.com they charge for a membership. I do hate that they do that, and I think they would be bigger if they didnt. But atleast they are still alive.

Some other Place

DomainState.com – Great forum kinda old but thats how the owner want it. They dont want the new stuff they want the old that works. They have a chat also and forums for everything, A Perfect place to get info.

NamesLot.com – A small little forum based off MYBB forum software that is getting more active by the month and doing well. A great place to browse for quick deals.

InsightDomain.com – A great little domaining forum that just started and will be getting better, with a chat to talk in, you can talk about everything here. 1 admin to keep the place going and rules are bendable unless you scam. This forum was created of a mix between DP and NP.

Also I would love to point out a place I found while browsering the web and I LOVE it.

The Overview

Will 2009 bring wealth for domainers? We are hopping prices of domains goes back up. But will 2009 show improvements for Domainers. Will Obama make it harder for domains to go back up.

We will see major changes in 2009 along with new projects some good some back. We will also see prices flux as normal I think for 2009 prices will jump during the summer but drop again in the fall around the holidays.

The plan

Do you have a back up plan if you do not sell your domains? My Plan is to develop all of my domains and use those ads and links as sources of money as well as selling the developedsite I have made and make more. I am not only a domainer. I also do web hosting developing and domain. I also have a day time job.   You need to have a plan when all else fails. Are you prepared?

The Future

I think with change comes power changes and the worse has yet to come. Be prepared when you you are domaining for stuff to happen. You need to have some other plans then just buy and sell domains, or just develop sites. You can not rely on google and yahoo for your traffic you nee to consistently advertise your sites. You need to have the layout changes You need to edit your content to to be reindexed. You need to post about changes start email, You need to offer more. Have many sources of revenue rather then one or two.

Will the site work out like John Motson (DnXpert.com) wants the site to work out by make him a millionaire and sending him to Traffic?

Can You say “I think not.” This is an interesting idea yes, but I think John jumped into it and didn’t have the time to plan and develop like it was needed. The idea in my opinion is shady not telling anyone what the domain is. At first I thought he was offer many domains. But now I understand it is one (1) domain that you are bidding on and the you pay right then for your “bid”, Not a Pledge like ebay or sedo. I may also be wrong on this.

How Ever I know I will not be bidding because I could care less for a domain valued at 10k or more. I am not into domaining to become a millionaire but to have fun and meet new people. Yes, I like profit but I also Develop my domains.

The idea around the site is good but I think its shady how John is doing it. The domain is also long, Does that mean we are bidding on the mysterydomainauction.com domain, since it will have nice traffic after all the people has visited it. I do not like the idea a bit.

John, I might be new to domaining but I do have something to ask you.

Would you bid on a domain that you didnt know or an iteam at ebay that didnt have info?
